ScanBalt Vice Chairman Lars Lindsköld, Region Västra Götaland, to discuss m- and eHealth in Rostock

Lars Lindsköld has been a key figure in focussing the efforts of ScanBalt towards the challenges and opportunities of ICT and health.

Most notably he chaired the ScanBalt Digital Health Project Accelerator Day 29. February in Copenhagen which stressed the importance of promoting Digital Health Literacy in the Baltic Sea Region.

The conclusion was clear: ScanBalt is to contribute setting a strong BSR agenda for digital health literacy whether we speak about enhancing the literacy among Health care professionals or patient groups.

The topic has additional urgency due to the immigrant situation and thus immigrants and staff working with immigrants may be one specific target group.

Likewise, digital health literacy plays a role for the market drive and the BSR as one market, test and development site. Digital health literacy is an important factor for enlarging the market.
