More than 3000 attendees from 80 countries all over the world will gather the 51st Annual Meeting of the European Society for Paediatric Endocrinology (ESPE) from September, 20th till 23rd, 2012 in Leipzig, Germany. Scientists including endocrinologists, diabetologists, paediatricians, molecular biologists, geneticists, psychologists, ethicists and nurses will participate at the meeting in the Congress Center Leipzig.
The European Society for Paediatric Endocrinology (ESPE) is the leading learned society in the world covering endocrine aspects of child health and endocrine disorders in childhood and adolescence.. Childhood diabetes, childhood obesity, disorders of sexual development and adrenal diseases are diagnosed with increasing frequency. Long-terms outcomes can be diminished or prevented, when these diseases are recognised early in childhood. In addition, the topics covered at this year’s annual meeting will include thyroid disorders, bone health, obesity, sexual development and human evolution.
