The European Society for Paediatric Endocrinology was founded 1962 in Zurich and is the largest learned society in the world covering child health, childhood diabetes, childhood obesity, research and care for children research in and care for children with disorders of sexual development, puberty, thyroid and adrenal disease. In addition the topics covered at this year’s annual meeting will in compass bone health, disorders of water metabolism and molecular defects of styroid metabolism.
Professor Wieland Kiess says: „Childhood diseases concern a large demographic group. We continue our long-term common work by the 51st Annual Meeting of the European Society for Paediatric Endocrinology.“ More than 3000 plenitions, scientists including molecular biologists, geneticists, psychologists and ethicists, and nurses will gather the Annual Meeting European Society for Paediatric Endocrinology. The attendees will come from 69 countries from all over the world. More than 1000 abstracts have been submitted and have been carefully selected for oral presentations, poster presentations and electronic presentations by new web based media.
